Dear George
Good to saluting you again.
I have a very delicate situation at the Port of Houston.
Mrs Veronique Chambily (French tourist) arrived in Houston last April 15th from Cartagena in order to be on time for her cargo discharge SEABOARD CHILE V13. She is importing on temporary admission a big truck RV to the U.S. and continuing her tourism trip.
The vessel discharged last Monday and she is waiting and waiting with no clue when Customs will release the truck from inspection.
I ‘ve called two times to Customs and no information is giving to us, not a scheduled date for inspection. Seaboard is the same situation, they send to Customs messages but, nothing have been programed or said about it.Mrs Veronique has a critical medical condition, which she must use insuline. The truck has a fridge with extra refrigerated insuline but she is not allow to access the truck by any means. Terrible to say but the insulin carried by Veronique is finish today or tomorrow and she’ll need emergency treatment without insurance I believe.
Customs on others ports are very helpful and receptive people on previous situaitions but in this case it is hermetic and really a preoccupation for us.
The reason I am contacting you is , if you could call the chief in Houston and find out the reason why the inspection has not been carried yet. I am really worried because of the medical condition. The weekend is coming and Seaboard most probably will be closed on top of that.
Appreciate in advance the help that we could get from you.
Best Regards

Ce qui est rassurant c’est qu’au moins quelqu’un s’occupe de ton problème.
En espérant que Georges pourra faire quelque chose pour accélérer le mouvement et que tout ça ne débouche pas sur des problèmes liés à l’insuline.
Grosses bises
